ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Nonoy Tan was born in the Philippines. He started taking underwater photographs in 2001.  Since then, his images have received recognition  from international organizations in Switzerland, United States, Italy, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. He is also involved in the training of professional dive guides that provide services for underwater photographers. 

His underwater photographs have been widely published and exhibited by institutions such as the Royal Photographic Society (UK) and the Smithsonian Institution Museum of Natural History (US). He is currently the Philippine correspondent for X-ray magazine (Global Edition). 

When not underwater, he works as a microfinance specialist in Asia and Africa.
